The best kid clay class ever!
These kiddos are fabulous! A lot happened in the studio yesterday, ranging from Alex's hot dog boat called the SS Weiner, to Cora's momma and baby mermaid soap dish complete with starfish, clams and fish, and a zillion other cool things! The snowball fight after class was a hoot too, both in and out of the minivans that came to pick up...
Other studio news.....about half of the Sterling College Empty Bowls Fundraiser bowls are done and are lookin' good! Another glaze firing is going now.
And tomorrow...a big studio moving day. Time to get things moved into the big beautiful new space and make that place come alive!

Sterling College Empty Bowls Project
Well, they did it! About 20 Sterling College students made a total of 88 fabulous handmade bowls in the studio yesterday. (And it was so fun!) Here's how the Empty Bowls Fundraiser will work: At the end of April, you can buy a ticket to the Empty Bowls Dinner. You will get a meal at Sterling in the handmade clay bowl of your choice, get to hear about and discuss issues of hunger in Vermont, and all of the money raised will be donated to the local Foodbank. More details to follow. Here's a preview of the bowls for ya....

Muddy Creek Pottery joins the blog party
Hello from Muddy Creek Pottery. I know you've all been waiting for this fabulous chance to have a peek into studio life up here in the Vermont woods. Well, your dreams have come true. Yeeha!
Just got back from glazing pots with the little girls this afternoon and loading up a glaze firing with some fun experimental mugs for Green Mountain Coffee Roasters.
Sterling College students are coming to the studio tomorrow to make 80-100 bowls for their Empty Bowls fundraiser for the Foodbank. Wish us luck.
But the very most exciting news....the studio is moving in about a week! We'll be just up the driveway from the current studio in our big, new, sunshiney space. Give a holler if you'd like to be part of the moving party.
